WAKE ME UP is a song by Tim Bergling, known professionally as Avicii. He's a Swedish DJ and record producer. This song released as the lead single from his debut studio album called TRUE on June 17, 2013. In the making of this song included Avicii himself, Mike Eiinziger, and American soul singer Aloe Blacc. But everything does worth it because this song has been named as the highest charting dance track of the decade, sitting at No. 13 in the 100-strong list from the UK Singles Chart. It is the only song to crack the Billboard Decade-End without making the top 3 during any week.

When I first listened to this song, I was still a child who understands nothing about the meaning of it. But I still remember how I would always enjoy and shake my head every time the song starts to play on the radio. But now that I'm about to turn 19, the meaning of this song seems a little bit deeper to me than ever before. This song is simply beautiful and inspiring for those who are going through hard times, it convinced me to pursue my dreams even when the odds aren't necessarily in our favor could get discouraging.

The melody of this song makes me feel sad and soft but it's also kind of upbeat that it makes me feel some sort of nostalgia and happiness. Whenever I listen to it, every bad memory just fades away and all I can think about is positivity and my passion. And the beat also gives me the boost to keep going. Honestly, I prefer this kind of music than the music we have nowadays, it's calmer and more relaxing. Especially if I had a very exhausting day, songs like this at least makes my life a bit more peaceful for a couple of minutes.

All the lyrics are so relatable and inspiring but " Life is a game made for everyone and love is the prize", this line hits me the most because there's one time I went through a very hurtful breakdown and finds life was very unfair to me. I almost give up but I told myself everything is going to be alright soon. That is when I stand up again and live my life to the fullest with positive vibes and joy. So, the line is true, just live your life and you will find love as your prize.

I would say this is my favorite song out of this album. I can listen to it on repeat and I would never get bored of it. From this song, I learnt that life can have hardships and pain but that's what makes our struggle astonishingly beautiful.
